Alien Invason

 

It was just another night  or so  it  had   seemed to Billy,  Cal,  Ros  an Ginna but  circumstances  were  soon to be proved otherwise

Billy  and Cal  had been hanging  around the  shops with  the rest of their but  had  decided to  go  for something  to  eat before heading home.  As  the two  lad's  crossed  the  playingfields  something made  them both look up  upwards and they  glimpsed what  looked like  a sort  of  silvery  coloured craft  coming straight  at  them from out  of  the  clouds,  coming fast yet  silently  toward's them.  "Billy,  just  what  the  hell  is  that ?"  Cal  asked his  companion as  he drew level  again,  but before he got  an answer he heard Billy  cry  out  and fall  to  the  ground holding his  throat,  second's  later he  likewise fell  to  the grass  and everything then went  black.

When he  began to  come  around his  head was  pounding and he felt  like hell  and found Billy  lying  in a similar state  to himself,  plus  two  other still figures  lying  in what  could best be  described as  cocoons.  Both lad's  exchanged fearful  glances  as  they  crossed the  room again  and reached across  and felt for a pulse  on  their new companion's  neck's  and found them slow but  steady.  The two girl's  looked to be  around a similar age  to  themselves,  clad in loose fitting shirt's  jean's  and trainer's.  But  as yet  neither girl  showed ai~y  sign's of  regaining full  consiousness  just yet,they  just  lay  totally   immoble.

"  I  don't  like  this  Cal  this  is  really  spooky  ,  like  something out  of  the X ~iles  I'm  alli~iost  exspecting Mulder  and Scully  to  come  through that  door any minute  now."

No  sooner had he  spoken  than the  door opened again to  reveal  a silver clad figure  holding what  looked like  a probe  of  some  sort which he  then drew down the full  length of  the  two  lad's bodies before he  then passed them what  they took to be  a pair of  silver  jumpsuits,  then signalled to  the  two  lad's  to

then remove  their own clothing and hand it  over to him slow and easy.

Both did as  they  were bid and were bid and were  surprised to find that they  had a skin  tight  fit  to  theirnew clothing and it  seemed to be heat reflective  plus  it  allso  seemed to  draw off  excess  heat  from their bodies.

But  noticed that  t~ei~ alien friend laid a  jumpsuit  on the bottom of  the girl's bed but  made no  attempt  to  remove  their clothing,  he  touched a di~c

to  each girl's  f~rehead  and miracle  of miracle's both girl's began to regain full  consiousness  again to  the am~ement  of  the  two  lad's.

Before he  then withdrew with the  lad's  clothing leaveing the foursome  to be come  ac~uanted with one   anothe~

 

When the  two girl's  eventually  came  round they  were  then greeted by  the sight of  the  two  lad's  ailbeit  clad  in silver  jumpsuit's,  but  at  least  they  spoke the  same  language which was  a relief  to  the  two girl's.

 

"Who  are you and where  the hell  are we,"  the  darker girl  demanded of her three  fellow voyager's

 

"Billy Neil  and I belong to  this  neck of  the  wood's  ,  He's  Cal ~oung and he live's  a couple  of  door's  down from me

"I'm Ros  White  and this  is  my friend Ginna Price,  we  were  coming back from the  picture's,  when our  alien friend's  grabbed us  and used some kind of knock

out  sleeping gas  on us.  How   long have we been under ?".

 

" No  idea,  we~ve been  in  the  same boat  flos  an ~inna um afraid,  we  were crossing  the  playing fieldts  when we  were grabbed and brought  here."

The  foursome  threw several  idea's between them as  they  tried to make  sense of  their abduction,  before  giving  it up momentarily  at  least  when the  alien who'd they had allready  seen with one  of his  friend's bearing this  time around what  looked like  a weapon and a tray with what  looked like medical instrument's  for measureing  and giving  injection's  or taking blood sample's  or tissue  sample's  ect.

 

Before  they  then  separated  the foursome by  putting up  a forcef ield between the two  lad's  and their girl  companion's,  and as before  they  got  the  two  girl's to  change  their  clothing.  Before proceeding to  take  their sample's  of  skin, blood,  hair,  and nail's.  Whatever the  method  it  seemed to  work.  Could they be using some  kind of  hypnotism or mental  suggestion Billy  wondered to himself as  he felt  the  cold hypo  touch his  skin and heard the hiss  as  it  drew off some  of his blood  into  the  ample  at  it's base.  Before  it  was  then withdrawn and a patch was  then placed over the  site  of  the  injection,  that  combined with his  particular  skin  type  and blood grouping.  Their sampleing completed for this  particular moment  in  time.  The  alien's  then withdrew and left  their four guinea pig's  to  their own  devices  leaveing the four youngster's  tp ponder what was  going to  happen next  in the proceeding's.

 

As  it  was  too  turn out  the foursome  did'nt  have  long to wait  when the  two lad's  were forceibly  separated from  the girl's  and marched away  to  another part

 

of  the  spaceship,  whereupon both lad's  were  abruptly  thrust  into  a small cubicle  like  space  and each  in turn secured  into  something not unsimilar to  a dentist's  chair,  and were  then left  there  to  stew

 

Though the  two  lad's nor  their girl  companion's  did'nt  know it  their alien

captor's  were  of  a specis  that  could adopt  the facial  characteristic's  faceilly wise  of  their  captive's,  in other word's  something akin to  a shape  shifter.

So  the  two  supposed lad's  swopped place's  with the  real  lad's  and made  an abortive  attempt  to  seduce  the  two  girl's  who fiercely  turned on  them,  one  of the  alien's  had his  face  scratched before  they  quickly withdrew.  On their being returned,the  two  lad's  found themselves  coming under fire  an got  quite  a rough time from their girl  companion's,  till  that  is  both girl's  noticed that  there were no  facial  scratches  on Cal's  right  cheek.

" If  it  was'nt  Cal,  who  made  a grab for me  then  just  who  the  holl -~s  it?

 

" I~s  demanded  shakeilly  of  her male  companion's

 

" It  ~ust  have  been our  alien friend's,  they  must be  able  to  change  shape's an  take  on  different  identities,  liKe  say  a Ehapeshifter".

 

        " Ugh no  way,  that's  too  much X ~ile's  for my  tir)y brain to  accept,  there's no way  that bird  is  going  to fly unless  it's  in hell." Billy  declaired sotto voce

        " If  it  is'nt  that,  then  just  how  can you  expl~in  it  any  better.1'  The  two girl's  deolaired  in unison,  before   adding  " How  the  hell  do  we  get  ourselves out of  this  little  mess  we've  gotten  ourselves  into".

"We  bide  our  time  till  we  can  overcome  our  captor's  like  say  when  they come  to  feed U5,~'  Cal  replied  to  his  three  companion's,  then we  get  the  hell out  of' here  warp  speed,  agreed?"

 

" Speaking of which I hope  they bring  it  soon,  cause  I'm Lee Marvin,  starvin."

At  that  the foursome  lapsed  into  silence  oncemore  as  they  stood and  sat  tinie about  in  their  current  quarter's.  Till  one  o~  the  girl's  re~eix£~ered she  s~ill h~d her  ~A&I~~Li  i~ her ~  C~1d   suggested using  lipstick  or  somesuch  tci'  duly simulate measais or  chickenpox spot's.'1

 

At  that  ~ie  foursoine  lapsed  into  silence  onoemore before  weighing up  the  pro's

and  con's  of  the  idea.

 

"It  would'nt  feel  or  look  ribht,  so~eb ouj~  would sus~  ~t  ~i  they  rubbed against any  of us."

 

" We've  got  to  do  something before  we  all  go  stir  crazy  in here."

 

"" If we  could find" where  they've  got  their transporter room,  we  could use  it to  esc~pe  and get  ourseive's  out  of  here." ~ina  posed  the  c~~c~aI  qu~stio~.

" What's  the bet  we  could'nt underst~d how the  control's  '~or1: once  ~e  get into  it  ?  her eom~~nion  counter~d.

indicating his  current  mode  of  dress  with  a sweep  of  his  hand.  And got  a nod from his  three  amigo's ,  One  of  whom  reached  into  her bag and produced a perfume  spray  with an allmighty pong,  least  so  it  appeared to his  nose.

 

But  as  thing's  were  to  transpire  they  would find  it  had  it's  use's  as  a surpriseing weapon  against  their  current  captor's.

When  the  alien  arrived with  their food,  he  promptly  dropped  to  the  floor gasping  and  clutching his  throat  "jith hi5  frce  hand,  the  ~oj's  ~uickly  ~%i'ade a grab. for  the  traj'  ~e2ore  it  landed  on  the  floor.

Gina was  simarlarly  armed,  the  two  lad's  had  swiftly  frisked the  downed alien  and had recovered what  looked  like  a handgun from  the  downed  alien.

 

Gingerly  they  eased themselves  along  the  passageway  two to  each side,  the girl's taking the  lead with the  two  lad's  taking  the  backup  position.

lad's  quickly  dragged them  around  the  corner  and  into  a room  just  off  the main  passageway  before  quickly  returning  to  rejoin  the  girl's  and press  on  with their  ongoing  search for  the  transporber  room  or f~iling  that  they  might  find the  alie~'~  cThr~oury  0 ~ their  c~c¼re  I)cd'2  Je~.c-.  ~

" Amen to  that,  they  can't  be  too  far ahead  if  those  symbolws  set  into  th~ wall's  read correctly."  Cal  was  quick to  remind his  compadre's  as  they  drew back on spotting  t~.o  armed alien's  standing  to  attention outside  a large double  doored room.

 

" Bingo,  look's  like we've  hit  paydirt  amigo's,  Gina hissed in a low whisper as  she  shot  a glance  of  trepidation  toward's  the  opposition before  adding  " How

 

do we~  play  it."

 

Do  as you did before,  flash em a big grin  then  zap  em,  warp speed,  but take  it  carefully  ok".  2~O  taking their courage  in both hand's  the twosome  then boldly  stepped out,  po~~~e  sprc~'s  a1~  'bhC re~~  4he  b~O5O~C  ~Oldly  edvanced and were  instantly  challenged by  the  two guard's  who  aimed  ~heir weapon's loosely    t3~ard's  ~ho  two  approaching girl's before  the  girl's  then opened fire with their spray's,  with  the  desired  effect.

~~iftly  the  two  lal's  followed and  they  reached  the  door  and on  re:~hing  it, it  o~~£ied  to  ~ what  they'd been looking for the  saucer's  control area. ~ll  of  assorted bad guy's  an every  one  armed to  the  teeth.  One  of  whom took a shot  which narrowly missed Gina,  who  swiftly  reacted by  dropping her perf~me bottle  ;%ich promptly  shattcre~  o~  hitting  the  floor and some  of  the mist  touched off  a flash fire  when the perfume  touched against  the  hot barrel

of  the  nearest  alien's  weapon.

 

A loud scream  then burst  fourth as  the flames burst  into  an eruptive mass around the  alien  inhabitant's  within  the  confines  of  the  controlroom.  3ut  the

 

£oursoi~e managed to  make  their retreat  from the  flames before  racing down the passageway  till  they found themselve's  in an area of' the  ship  they had'nt  seen before.

 

On entering,  they  found  exactly  what  they'd been searching for...  soveral pod sizei craft,  plus  what  looked to  all  of  them like  a shuttlecraft  with room enough on board her for say  four people.

 

On  entering they  swiftly  embarked   and activated the  engine's  fi~rmiy t~ey secure~i themselves  in their respective  seat'~ before  their ship  then ro~e ill a

low hover and th~ ~p began to  eas~ forward's  toward's  the  door which the~~~ sli~ open as  their  ~ broke  a light beam but  it seemed t~ take forever to  the foursome.

 

Barely had the  smaller  ship cleared the flight bay  than the b~~ger' craft began' to  list  before  it  plunged earthward's  toward's  the big quarry  that  lay on the  outskirt's  of  the four youngster's  hometown.

 

Turning their  escape  craft  ever' so  slightly  the fbursoi~e  then watc~ed it's destructIon with mL~ed feeling'~' as  it made  it's  descent  toward's  the  large fast  approaching maw of  the  ~~arry

 

~asping  in ~iisor   at  the  size  of  the massi~~e  explo~ion a~  it ripped the

alien ship  apart,  flames  ~i debris  shooting high into  the night  s~.  F~Lielled

 

indirectly by  a direct hit  on the  quarry 'S  powder magazine.

>(eir ship bucked  about  in the  explosion's  slipstream and the  two  ladfs  had their hand's  full,  concentrateing   on keeping their own craft  on an  even keel.  Once  down  it  did'nt  take  them long to  pus~ their  own craft  over the edge  to  join  it's  big brother in the  large  inferno below before  they  in their turn made for  the  cover  of  the wood's,  once  there  the foursome made  the startleing  discovery  that  their alien  jumpsuits  had metomorphisised ba~k into pretty  fair  copies  of  the  clothing they'd been wearing when they'd been all abducted hour's  previously.

 

After  that  discovery  the two  lad's  and their girl  companion's  then made  the medium trek back across  the field's  that  led toward's  their home  tow~,  where upon they  were met by  several  local folk hurrying back up the path that  they were  currently  descending.

 

The  leading figure was  an old timer bent  over with great  age who gave the two  lad's  a conspitorial  wink as  he  passed the foursome  in questi()n.

 

Been winchin  lad's,  did you see  a~thing when you were up the hill there beyond the quarry  then,  one big bugger of; a bang tha~  wa~,  can't be  the quarrymen  ...  they's  not  due back till  week Monday from holiday's:'Before he carried on up  the  hill  after  the  other'c~

 

The nearer they  drew to  the main road they  could hear the poli~  and fire engine'B  siren's  likewi~e  the  ambulence  as  the  three vehicles  raced along the main road till  they reached the road end thatled up the  quarry road.  Their light's  and siren's blareing filled thenight

 

An probably  would for the  rest  of  the night  and into  the  early hour's  of tomorrow morning the four youngster's  were  quick to realise  as  they  made their return to  their home  town.

 

" Ax)ybody know what  time  it  is,  we might  just  have  time  to make  it  down the pub  in time  for  last  order's."  Cal remarked as  he  climbed the  old gate that  led  into  the field  in  question,  followed by  his  f~llow abductee's,  who looked horrified when they  found their watches  had stopped on the precise moment  the  two  alien craft's  had cras~ed into  the  quarry  and exploded.

 

Looking back they  caught  sight  of  the flame's  and smoke blowing down from the general  direction,  like  the version's  of hell  on earth they'd seen on some  of  those  television documentories...  as  they went  on their way.
