When maker of mystery programmes Layton Muir found himself back in the small borders village in which he was born, it was as a researcher.

He was there to investigate a few mysterious deaths and make a documentary revealing the truth behind an official cover-up.

But soon he was to find a new love, and a new enemy, both of who threaten to destroy his old world forever.

And at last he comes face to face with the horrifying truth of what has been unleashed upon an unsuspecting mankind.

There may be billions of us, but there are trillions of them and they can transform us into crazed undead zombies.
